 MG Motor India has launched the Windsor EV Pro, a premium long-range variant of its popular electric crossover. With significant upgrades in battery capacity, range, and advanced features, the Windsor EV Pro aims to set new benchmarks in the electric vehicle (EV) segment.

Powertrain and Performance

Enhanced Battery Capacity

The Windsor EV Pro is equipped with a 52.9 kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, a substantial upgrade from the standard 38 kWh battery. This enhancement allows the vehicle to achieve a claimed range of up to 460 km on a single charge, making it suitable for both city commuting and long-distance travel.

Electric Motor and Driving Modes

The vehicle is powered by an electric motor that delivers 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. It offers multiple driving modes—Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sports—to cater to various driving preferences and conditions.

Charging Capabilities

  • AC Charging: Using a 7.4 kW AC charger, the battery can be fully charged in approximately 9.5 hours.

  • DC Fast Charging: With a 60 kW DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80% in just 50 minutes.

Interior and Comfort Features

Spacious and Luxurious Cabin

The Windsor EV Pro boasts a spacious cabin with Aero-Lounge seats that recline up to 135°, providing enhanced comfort for all passengers.

Advanced Infotainment System

A 15.6-inch GrandView touchscreen display dominates the dashboard, offering seamless access to navigation, entertainment, and vehicle settings. The system supports 80+ i-Smart connected features for an enriched driving experience.

  • Panoramic Glass Roof: Enhances the sense of space and openness within the cabin.

  • Ventilated Front Seats: Provides added comfort during long drives.

  • 256-Color Ambient Lighting: Allows customization of the cabin atmosphere.

Pricing and Availability

  • Starting Price: ₹18.10 lakh (ex-showroom) 

  • Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) Option: For customers opting for the BaaS model, the vehicle's price is reduced to ₹12.49 lakh, excluding the battery cost. 

  • Availability: The Windsor EV Pro is now available at MG dealerships across India, with deliveries already commenced.
